Illuminations, Dances and Poems

At the end of August 2017, we spent an exciting three nights in the beautiful space of Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral, recording music for our debut CD, which is called "Illuminations, Dances, and Poems".

illuminating; dancing; poetic

The music which we recorded is one - or all - of illuminating, dancing, and poetic. From the dramatic, statuesque dance of Solfa Carlile's Silver Tree Fanfare, through the various states of illumination which Dan Locklair and Torbjorn Hultmark portray, to the poetry of Paul Burke's Five Poems, the disc has the greatest contemporary music for Trumpet and organ!

...to the Eric Thompson Charitable Trust for Organists for funding the majority of this project. It was a real privilege to be awarded the 2016/2017 Annual Award (only the second time that this Award has been offered).

Our thanks also go to the GEMMA Classical Music Trust for their grant towards this project.
